Infochannel Content Manager - Powerful Server Technology - at the Heart of the System
Scala Content Manager is the Server portion of Infochannel 5. It tracks all operations & transactions on the network allowing users to Login (via Username and Password) access, browse and upload media to the media library where it is then available for viewing and message creation. Users can access graphics and templates, create messages, preview messages, schedule slides and messages, then distribute media and messages to the remote Players for automated and unattended playout. Access and browse Infochannel Templates that are stored on the Server, then populate those templates with your own custom messages, graphics, photos and videos

Infochannel Player - Reliable Message Playback 24x7x365 featuring DVI or HDMI out
The Player drives HD or SD screens 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing high quality playback for slides, text, graphics and video downloaded from the Content Manager (Scala Server Application). This configuration allows new messages and program material created in either Content Manager or Scala Designer to appear without interruption of message playout. In addition, each Scala player can output 2 simultaneous channels (SD or HD) with independent control for each channel plus indendent zones for each channel with optional AP News and Local Weather Services.

Infochannel Designer provides fast and intuitive design tools allowing users to create beautiful multi-layered graphic compositions that attract viewer attention. These compositions are published from Designer directly to the Scala Server (Content Manager) where they are now available as "Templates". Templates can incorporate graphics or photos in BMP, JPEG, PNG, TIF, GIF and other image formats, video in MPEG-2, MPEG-4, AVI, Flash and WMV formats and MP3 and WAVE digital audio. Infochannel Designer allows graphic artists to build multi-layered compositions using any of the above mentioned formats to create stunning graphics and animated imagery. Import graphics designed in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator or other idustry standard applications, then use Scala Designer to control timing, transitions, transparency and many other elements of your presentation. Infochannel features Multi-Zone capability, allowing you to define any area of the screen for messages, text crawls, sidebars and date/time stamps and more. Zones can handle all types of media including text, graphics, video and animation. Typical setups include 3 zones, but you can change individual Player configurations to change zone layouts on-the-fly which is a great way to avoid “image burn-in” which is common to some Plasma displays.

Infochannel Players allow dual channel output. Each channel can display its own unique series of messages, images and videos including multi-zoned screens. Each channel features the ability to schedule messages, photos, images and videos. Dual channel output means that you can use a single player to drive two (2) independent outputs instead of using a dedicated Player for each channel. This reduces the Total Cost of Ownership dramatically.

• Multi-Level Access
Infochannel Server (Content Manager) provides presets for Administrative and User Accounts, making it simple to define the various levels of access to the system. This is a great way to control who has the ability to actually “publish” new messages and content to the Infochannel Players. Administrators control the level of access for User accounts and every parameter for access can be customized.

• Powerful Scheduling
Infochannel offers advanced scheduling features using a simple point-and-click calendar system. Just click on that date, set the time of day and Infochannel will play your message(s) accordingly.
