CURRENT JOB OPENINGS

Project Manager

Job Description:

This position is responsible for initiating all tasks and managing the completion of large-scale low voltage Audio and Video technology installations.  These responsibilities include bid estimations and preparation of submittals, site visits, installation scheduling, attending construction meetings, supplier coordination and follow-through, and following up with all facets of the installation through all phases of the project. 

 

Requirements:

Essential duties, requirements, and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned as needed.

 

  • Technical knowledge and proficiency in basic MS Office 365 office applications, including MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.

  • Familiar with timelines and Gantt charts

  • Constantly monitor quality, safety and progress of work on assigned projects

  • Critical thinking and problem solving

  • Ability to read and manage schematic system flow documentation

  • Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date

  • Assembles, organizes and maintains all documentation needed for training, warranties, manuals, project commissioning and other closeout activities

  • Strong personal and Customer Service Skills

  • Communication skills, verbal and written

  • A critical “point person” to the client with attention to detail and the technical knowledge required to move large scale projects. This will include budget tracking, job costing reviews, project status meetings and communication with owners, contractors, subcontractors, engineers, architects and sales departments.

      Education and Experience

  • Technical knowledge and Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Communications/IT Construction Management or related field.  

  • We prefer industry certifications such as CTS certifications

Audio Video Design Engineer

TEL Systems Inc., a leading integrator of professional audio and video systems is interviewing for an Audio Video Design Engineer interested in helping to design the technology solutions of the future.

Responsibilities and Requirements:

Essential duties, requirements, and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned as needed.

 

  • Engineering sales support and review of the functionality and design of systems being proposed by the Sales Department, clients or consultants.

  • Designing AV signal flows and generating equipment lists for technology projects

  • Responsible for all engineering, design and construction drawings, and working with the Sales Department to generate system designs.

  • Review client and consultant designs

  • Establishes and maintains drafting work schedules, coordinates work with Project Managers and Operations Manager

  •  Maintains a good line of communications between Project Managers and staff

  • Responsible for the adequate and accurate time posting of all drafting to jobs

 

Minimum Qualifications:    

  • 4+ years working in the A/V field with industry certifications such as CTS

  • 4+ years working with computers at the systems level

  • Understanding of CAD and Drafting techniques

  • Strong personal and Customer Service Skills

  • Communication skills, verbal and written

Audio Video Installation Technician

 The TEL Systems AV Technician position is responsible for integrating, installing, rigging and configuring A/V systems for our professional client base.  Must perform exceptional “Customer Service”.

 

Responsibilities and Requirements:

Essential duties, requirements, and responsibilities include the following.  Other duties may be assigned as needed.

 

  • Must have hands-on experience with all aspects of structured cabling: pulling, terminating, testing, Cat5e/6, video, VGA, HDMI, audio RCA/XLR cable

  • A/V rigging experience a plus such as projector, monitor and projection screen installation 

  • Technical knowledge and proficiency in basic MS office applications, including MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

  • We prefer industry certifications such as CTS

  • Experience in troubleshooting commercial A/V installations

  • Ability to read and manage schematic system flow documentation

  • Critical thinking and problem solving 

  • Ability to demonstrate planning, organizing and implementing skills which allow the successful completion of a project by a specific due date

Account Manager

TEL Systems is looking for a full-time career-oriented Audio-Video Account Manager to represent the company in commercial technical AV business development and sales.

The candidate must be a highly-motivated and results-oriented professional with strong organization and communication skills.  The Account Manager position will identify prospects, manage sales leads, develop sales campaigns, maintain and expand current client base and consult with clients to determine and define needs and solutions. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prior experience in outside sales and territory management using a consultative sales approach

  • Experience with commercial audio & video systems; projection & presentation systems, video recording & streaming, digital signage, and conference room technology including video conferencing, collaboration and a propensity for technology.

  • Build, cultivate and maintain relationships with manufacturers and vendors, client end-users, executives and management.

  • Visually present and demonstrate technology equipment, systems and solutions to customers.

  • Experience with construction projects, blueprints and enjoy AV system design

  • Knowledge of and/or experience with IT and electronic systems as they relate to AV design

  • Ability to define the functionality of a proposed AV system to the Design Engineer

  • Maintain current knowledge of manufacturers’ offerings, capabilities and trends in the Audio & Video industry. Attend manufacturer’s training and professional development activities.

  • Receive and maintain certifications as required.  CTS certification is a plus.

  • Intelligent, assertive, innovative, creative and decisive

  • Work includes sales forecasts, AV scope of work writing, proposal writing, quotes and bid responses

 

Education

• Minimum High school diploma or equivalent but a four-year degree is preferred

• Prefer at least 2-3 years’ experience in AV sales.
